Unfortunately, I must start out this post with some relatively somber news. The London Blue Jays, the fresh expansion team of the FGHL, has collapsed. Though preliminary reports on the cause have not yet been released, speculation has been rampant. Rumors suggest that the Blue Jays team management collapsed into a carefully dug hole in the ground, so deep that we will likely never see them again. Many are claiming that the hole was dug by none other than the KHL, in response to the declaration of war upon them. More to come!
Nonetheless, Jim Chong of the Canterbury Fighting Badgers has become the sole expansion team general manager. As a result, he has received the opportunity to draft ten players from the free agent pool without competition in order to better compete this season with the already established powerhouses.
His final choices:
1. A. Semin
2. P. Datsyuk
3. T. Hall
4. P. Stastny
5. L. Eriksson
6. T. Plekanec
7. A. Goligoski
8. W. Wolski
9. K. Yandle
10. M. Fleury
With the end of the expansion draft, the real draft can now begin!
